First Kiss

Remembering the first kiss
The first taste of new year bliss
the act of two hearts becoming whole
Striking the deepest parts of the soul
Only a second the moment last
Her spell on him was cast
Time came when they split
But his love for her never quit
Unable to let go of
His everlasting and undying love
He created a wall
To block out all
The transformation began
Leaving the iceman
In his broken heart he yearn
For her to return
To remind him of the feelings he once felt
Causing the ice to melt
He waits for the day they atone
So he never has to again be alone
Returning him to his state of grace
with her warm embrace
He asks for a kiss
To save him from his self-made abyss
